- Close and relaunch your browser window.
- Close down any other applications or browser windows that may also be running on your computer at the time of the webcast.
Ensure that your computer meets the minimum hardware requirements:
- Windows 7+, Mac OS X 10.6+
- Soundcard and speakers/headphones
- Adobe Flash Player (https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/)
- Chrome, Internet Explorer v9+, Mozilla Firefox, Safari
- Broadband Internet connectivity (512kbps minimum, 1Mbps recommended)
Your ability to watch the live webcast is also largely determined by the speed and reliability of your Internet connection. You will need to be able to download at a minimum of 250 kbps (on Hi quality and 100 kbps on Lo quality(kilobits per second) to view the content without problems. Some antivirus programs, Internet security applications and/or content filters may interfere with your browser's ability to provide uninterrupted playback by preventing timely delivery of the video content. Temporarily disabling these types of programs while viewing the website content may afford you a more enjoyable playback experience. For information on how to disable a specific program, please contact the software vendor.
You can also check your streaming capabilities by clicking the play icon (triangle) on the test player supplied at the bottom of the webcast page prior to the live event.
If all else fails, you could try to reboot your machine completely or use another machine to reproduce the problem. If you get the same result from a different machine on the same network, please see the “webcast from the office” section below.
